My friend Roxanne was super close with Lemmy since she was about 16 years old. Her and I met when she owned one of the coolest dive bars in Salt Lake City about 12 years ago. She had always talked to me about him with so much love and it was well known what type of bond the two of them had. On Motörhead’s last tour Roxy surprised me with a backstage VIP pass to go to the Salt Lake show. Lemmy had a hard time making it through his set and it was pretty emotional to watch with the rest of the crew behind the scenes. Sadly, soon after that show, Lemmy passed away. Not long after Roxy called me to ask if I could fix a few jewelry pieces she had and we met up to talk about them. One of the pieces, she casually mentioned, was one of Lemmys necklaces that he had given to her!! The bail was broken off the top of the pendant and needed to be reattached so she could wear it. Unfortunately it was made out of pewter, which is a very soft and temperamental metal that I couldn’t solder, and we decided on a different route to fix it. After having the pendant for a few months while Roxy was traveling I asked her if I could make a mold of it. I knew I would be giving it back soon and my heart wasn’t ready to part with that piece of Lemmy! I cast one for myself and all the friends that knew the story started asking me to cast them one as well (legit you guys, we would have people over for parties or whatever and by the end of the night everyone was asking me to go get “The Sword” so we could look at it!) Now I offer them to you, my babes. Lovers of rock n roll and our forever crush LEMMY. FUCKIN. KILMISTER.
